I Like a Nice Sized Cucumber: Affairs and Accidents

The ladies are in La Quinta for the 10th episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The ladies are all packing for their trip, save Kyle Richards who is already at her La Quinta home. Lisa Rinna's dog, Rocky, is recuperating from a medical procedure. Dorit Kemsley is ready to get dressed after battling COVID for the last few weeks. Her son, Jagger, judges her for the amount of overpacking she's doing for a 2-day trip. Sutton Stracke has an empty suitcase. On the phone with Sutton, Kyle explains that Erika Jayne, Garcelle Beauvais, and Crystal Minkoff are staying at a hotel in La Quinta. Sutton makes a joke she's going from Kyle's house to Kyle's house.

Erika is selling her clubhouse to reduce her expenses. Erika claims that she hasn't receive any financial support from ex-Tom Girardi since they split.

Dorit and Rinna are the first to arrive at Kyle's desert home. Kyle tells the ladies that Garcelle didn't feel comfortable staying in the house and Kathy Hilton didn't feel comfortable staying in a hotel; so Kyle switched them last minute. Obviously, Kyle wanted to separate Crystal and Sutton. Kathy arrives having driven herself, for the first time, the two-hour trip to the desert. Crystal arrives at Kyle's in a town car. Kyle has to carry everyone's luggage in for them, as she did not hire a bellman for the weekend. Dorit has her driver, Radh, carry her bags in. Sutton arrives in her new car with a driver, as well. Crystal shares that Sutton has reached out and they have texted since their fight at Rinna's party. She feels their relationship is on the mend.

When it's discovered no one has heard from Erika, Dorit tells the women that the government froze Tom's assets after it was uncovered that $2-million had been used inappropriately. Erika is seen at the hotel, sullenly taking her dog out. In her confessional, Crystal rationalizes that for someone as rich as her and Tom Girardi, $2-million is so small in comparison to their wealth, you wouldn't notice it being used inappropriately.

Kathy tells Sutton that a very rare 600-year eclipse is happening and that's why its been so windy. Kyle and Rinna joke around with eggplants. Kathy asks Kyle why she hasn't had her famous lasagna; in her talking head, Kyle reflects back on the years they missed together while the sisters were feuding.

Erika arrives to many hugs from the women. She begins to cry as the ladies tell her that they're here for her. Erika shares that her life has been all bad news, all the time. Kathy asks if Erika knows infamous lawyer, Bob Shapiro. Erika explains that some lawyers are "Team Tom", and she does not know if he is one of them. Erika also explains that the court is in Chicago because it is a federal case. She expresses slight relief that Tom's lawyer is asking for a medical exam because Erika herself had feared he was deteriorating during their marriage. Dorit shares that it is very common for the wives to be dragged into their spouse's legal troubles, just as she had been dragged into her husband PK's legal drama the year before. Crystal is keeping Kyle company in the kitchen, Kyle explains to Crystal that the relationship between Tom and Erika was at times very Father-daughter. In her confessional, Kyle says that during difficult times in their marriage, Erika would detach from the situation.

Sutton shares with Erika that her father committed suicide 2 days before Christmas. And in her experience, the Holiday traditions and rituals were what kept her and her family going through difficult times.

Kyle jokes that she's going through all the trouble of making dinner and none of the women even eat. Kathy is ripping up stale hot dog rolls to serve the women in a bread basket despite Kyle telling her to throw them away. Dorit carries Kathy's bag for her up the stairs, after Kathy brought it up about half-way, going step by step, one at a time. Dorit then picks up Kathy's fan and moves it up and down to cool Kathy off. At the table, Kyle brings attention to the tablescape Kathy had set, a basket of stale bread, a lit candle, and napkins being held down by a lemon.

Erika tells Rinna that she heated her pool for about 3 days until she saw the bill. It's a heavy lifestyle change to go to after heating her pool for 20 years, and never using it. Erika has even started shopping in her own wardrobe.

Kyle knocks over spice bottles and when she asks Kathy for help, Kathy takes a grill brush to sweep the floor with. Erika offers to sweep for her, with a new found love for the housekeeping task.

Crystal expresses how jealous she is that Drake follows Lisa Rinna on Instagram. Kathy has Erika blow out the candle at the table in a ceremony to bring her positive energy. Erika tells the women that "Erika Jayne" is an expensive business to keep up. Kyle asks if Tom will be helping her moving forward, to which Erika says he won't and he hasn't been. Dorit shares the court asked to deny Erika spousal support. Sutton wonders if they'll get a speedy divorce so he can focus on the more important matters. Erika tells the women she doesn't think there's anything left, financially, to take half of. She also tells the women that she thinks Tom should stop practicing law. In her talking head, Rinna says she thought a year ago, the last time she was around Tom, that he seemed "with it".

Kyle brings up that 3-years ago, Tom was in an accident, and Erika told the women, then, that Tom broke his ankle but was fine. However, Erika reveals she found Tom, he had been unconscious for 12-hours, after driving his car off a cliff. According to Erika, Tom had also been thrown from the car. In her talking head, Sutton expresses confusion over the car story. A very neatly tied explanation of how one of the nation's top attorney's could mentally decline so quickly. Erika divulges that she assumed Tom was with another women when he hadn't come home. The rest of the women looked shocked, except for Kyle who had heard rumors of the kind. Erika tells the women that after former housewife Yolanda Hadid and David Foster got divorced, she went through her husband's phone and found evidence of his infidelities that went back years. She says when she confronted Tom about it, he didn't deny it. Kyle is shocked that Erika didn't leave if she had evidence like that, but Kathy defends Erika saying that Tom treated her poorly so that she would feel like she had to stay and accept their failed marriage as the best she could do. The women can now understand that they don't know what has been going on with their friend and her marriage for years.
