After a hiatus, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are back! We open up to Kyle Richard's dirty La Quinta home, undrunk martinis and food left out from the night before. Kyle narrates that after Erika Jayne left it was very heavy but in spite of that it turned into a dance party. The ladies decipher another headline about Tom Girardi that confuses them about his mental state. Erika arrives, having not slept the night before, she decides to not participate in the bike ride. In her confessional, Dorit Kemsley explains that she understands that the magnitude of what Erika is dealing with is great, but she begins to question their friendship, the level of trust between them, because Erika never shared anything with her. Kathy Hilton comes downstairs exhausted because sister Kyle kept the house at 76 degrees over night.
Kyle, Lisa Rinna, Dorit, and Crystal Minkoff bike ride into a small downtown area for coffee and breakfast. Kyle gets a call from Kathy asking where to find a straw. She then asks Kyle to get her a straw and chia seeds. Dorit shares that she hopes someone is looking out for Erika because she doesn't think Tom will or would. Rinna thinks he's going to try to take her down during their divorce and his upcoming legal battles.
The women return to Kyle's, just after noon, and Sutton tells them that everyone is sleeping. Erika wakes up and it's (re)revealed that Erika and Tom had a house in La Quinta she had never been to. Sutton Stracke defends the unknown purchase because her husband made her partial owner in two minor league baseball teams without her knowledge and she didn't learn of them until their divorce. Kathy tries to devise a plan that Erika calls confused and forgetful about the second home to get her address. Erika tells the women she doesn't know anything about Tom's alleged illness and hospitalization.
The women play croquet, or more so, all the women but Sutton learn to play croquet. Sutton, true to form, is a croquet player. The ladies sit down on the grass and Kathy joins them and asks if they're playing duck duck goose. Kathy did not get the straws Dorit stuffed under her door. Kyle touches on the status of both her and Rinna's relationship with Garcelle Beauvais. In her confessional, Rinna claims she doesn't know either way if Garcelle follows her back on Instagram, that she doesn't care, and she won't check to find out. In her confessional, Kyle shares that she does check and Garcelle doesn't follow either of them.
Garcelle finally joins the women in a full hazmat suit. She comes in, flashes them with a disinfectant UV light and returns to her hotel to get dressed for dinner. Back at the hotel, Crystal and Garcelle sit down and Crystal fills Garcelle in on the dinner from the night before, including the details that Erika shared. In her talking head Garcelle exposes, and in a filmed flash back from a month ago we see, Garcelle asked if there had been cheating and Erika had said no. The ladies make Crystal the bartender for the night and I think at this point it is hazing. The ladies ordered room service and it arrives in paper bags. Kathy called it cute and Kyle referred to it as a picnic. Kyle shares that her and Crystal did some digging and found out that Tom sold their La Quinta home in 2018. Sutton told Erika to hire a great forensic team to get to the bottom of where the money is. Kathy makes the women go around the table and play an icebreaker game. Each woman shares one word to describe themselves: Dorit, hardworking; Kyle, honest; Kathy, proud; Sutton, eccentric; Erika, tough; and Crystal can't think of a word before Kyle sidetracks the game by bringing up that Crystal is a descendent of Confucius.
Garcelle wakes up with a headache from the night before. Garcelle, Erika, and Crystal go hiking while the rest of the women go shopping. Garcelle opens up about her childhood in Haiti, her six siblings, and her mom. Kathy gets a phone call from her fashion designer daughter, Nicky Hilton. Kyle makes fun of Kathy's outfit. Kathy in return makes fun of the amount of effort the ladies put into their fashion for what should be a casual girl's trip in the desert. Back in the wilderness, Erika faces heavy questioning from Garcelle and Crystal about her marriage from Tom. Erika tells Garcelle that she did not get a heads up about the legal battle before the divorce and Erika paints that his decline is similar to Alzheimer's but also tied to the car accident. According to Erika, this paired with a miserable home life is why she left. As they are leaving, Erika reveals that she is getting calls from Tom every day and he is trying to get her to come back home. Kathy arrives with 6 bags from Del Taco. Garcelle shares with the group that Tom calls her and Erika gets angry with her. Erika insinuates that Garcelle "got it out of her once" but Erika freely offered that information to Garcelle and Crystal, including the nature of the calls, which she could have easily omitted. Kyle and Garcelle both express disbelief at the amount of anger Erika is unleashing. Cue a montage of Erika losing her temper with the other women over the years. Erika continues to press that Garcelle did her dirty by bringing up what she had shared on the hike. Crystal reveals that Erika did not make it clear to Garcelle to not bring it up to the other women. Sutton feels like there is a smoking gun somewhere in the question that Erika is trying to hide, in order to justify her reaction. The episode ends with Erika sobbing and saying that she had tried to be open and honest.
