Episode 13th brings us back to the secret meeting Sutton Stracke called for at Dorit Kemsley’s house. Sutton makes clear she doesn’t want her name associated with any of the allegations surrounding fellow housewife, Erika Jayne Girardi. Lisa Rinna firmly states she’s sticking by her friend Erika, and “Princesses care about their reputation; Queens don’t.” Sutton says Ruth Madoff has no friends. Sutton says she’s concerned for both her reputation and the legalities. Kyle Richards says she talked to a lawyer friend to explain the LA Times article to her because she did not read it, it was too long. Dorit chimes in that she too sought advice and we get a flash back to Dorit facetiming PK and Boy George. To recap, their advice was to “thank god this wasn’t you” and to have Erika pinky promise she’s not involved. Sutton shared that the wife of a former attorney at Tom Girardi’s practice told her husband ten years ago that something is off at the firm and had her husband leave. Sutton thinks the car accident story doesn’t add up. Crystal Minkoff says she felt the story they were told on the mountain painted a three year time span but the article goes back more than three years—she agrees with Sutton that things don’t pass the smell test. Sutton clears up that ten years ago it was coming to light that he was not paying settlement money. Dorit puts together that Erika and Tom’s lawyers are saying the same thing and spinning the same story. Sutton alleges they are in cahoots. Rinna tries to bring up the Denise Richards drama from last season and Kyle quickly corrects her that believing Denise is child’s play in comparison. Dorit says that for the last 5 years everything she thought she knew about her friend and her friend’s life has actually been the opposite. Sutton brings out a sheet of notes and points out Erika is also being named on the lawsuits alongside Tom. Sutton says that Erika is too smart to play ignorant. She called out Erika’s mistress tales to be deflection and encourages the ladies it is beneath them to blindly believe. Kyle feels bad that at her Christmas party everyone will be grilling Erika with hard questions about the legal issues.
Garcelle Beauvais is hosting her whole family for Haitian cuisine during the holidays. Her oldest son Oliver is visiting with family and Oliver Jr., Garcelle’s grandson.
Dorit facetimes Kyle while getting ready for the party. Kyle shares that Teddi Mellencamp is coming. Kyle’s poinsettias catch on fire. Garcelle is the first to arrive. Kyle has a gingerbread train station with a working train. Garcelle and Kyle reflect on getting answers out of Erika. Garcelle brings up that what's being discussed is not something that anyone would confess to, if asked. Kyle adds, "Greed brings out the worst in people.” Teddi is the next to arrive at the party. In her confessional, Garcelle says that Teddi is annoying for no reason.
Rinna shows up in a wig named Heather. Dorit can’t open the door to get in the house. Kathy Hilton arrives discombobulated and tells the ladies she’s going “to have a gorilla”. In her confessional, Kathy explains it’s a saying similar to “having a horse” to explain being dramatic. Erika is the last to arrive. Rinna reminds everyone that people are presumed innocent until proven guilty. And that Erika probably can’t answer questions because of the legality of it all. Sutton asks Garcelle if she said “Hello” to Erika and Garcelle said that Erika winked at her and reminds us they haven’t seen each other since their fight in La Quinta.
While getting her dinner, Erika says “This is a good time”, in a callback to her quote from a few seasons ago.
At dinner, Erika shares that more things will be coming out. Sutton asks Erika if she is truly blindsided because it seems she’s had a heads up before certain articles came out. Erika says no. Crystal asks why the timeline doesn’t add up and Erika gives a non answer. Dorit tries to pacify the tension and Garcelle calls her out for going against what she said the other night at their meeting. In retaliation, Dorit throws Sutton under the bus for calling the meeting. While Sutton explains why she wanted the meeting called, Rinna interrupts and tells Sutton to explain why the meeting was called. Sutton comes out to ask the “$20-million question” and Erika claims that she was kept away from the books of her own LLC. Garcelle and Sutton are annoyed Dorit is pretending to be much more supportive of Erika than she was behind her back. Garcelle shares that her sister was due a lawsuit settlement that an attorney dragged their feet to distribute and gives harsh words about Tom. Erika tries to explain that Tom was the only one in control of his law firm and that it got away from him. She ends her spiel by saying that “if he [Tom] stole the money, I’d like to know where it is.” While Dorit and Rinna chime in with how much they love and support Erika, Garcelle reminds the group that there are real victims out there and calls them out for not keeping that in mind. Dorit is offended and tries to simultaneously balance her two faces at the table. Kathy breaks the tension by saying this was good practice for Erika before court.
At dessert, Sutton called Dorit out for throwing her under the bus. In her talking head, Sutton says she believes that Kyle, Rinna and Dorit set her up. The episode ends with Sutton giving Erika a Christmas gift and Erika calling the women rats.
