Scramble Our Eggs: Light as a Feather, Heavy as a Bored

The tenth episode of The Real Housewives of New York opens in the middle of a dissipating dinner; with Sonja Morgan off to the side with Ramona Singer, in an attempt to reel Ramona into the moment of how insensitive and stand offish she is being with Eboni K. Williams. Meanwhile, back from her suspected sneaky cig, Luann de Lesseps is back to team up with Ramona and then turn to badger Sonja for details about her meeting with the matchmaker. Sonja tells Ramona she thinks Lu is only into hearing about the matchmaker to find out if the matchmaker had men for her.

Eboni continues to pursue a conversation about politics with Ramona. (I’m getting the sense that Ramona does not want to talk about her conservative politics on camera.) Lu tries to talk to Eboni because she feels that by Eboni insinuating that she (Luann) is aligned with white supremacy, this means their beef from the Hamptons is not squashed.

Eboni breaks very sad news to the girls that her grandmother passed away earlier that day. Leah sobbed uncontrollably. Eboni appreciated that Ramona has an intuitive way to show emotional support in difficult situations. In her confessional, she alludes that this show of character was enough to prove that they have similar enough values to pursue and build a friendship together.

Eboni talks about getting a tattoo to honor her grandmother and Ramona tries to be the voice of reason against a rash decision. It turns out the creepy hot twins are the tattoo artists.

Despite her dissent, Ramona holds Eboni's hand and distracts her thru the pain while her grandmother's name is inked onto her wrist.

Sonja tells Ramona that her roots are bad. Bershan Shaw and a drunk Sonja get into it when Sonja starts a long winded explanation about her opinion on tattoos. Bershan cuts her off, then Sonja loses her train of thought, and Bershan tries to put words in Sonja's mouth.

The next morning, Ramona and Sonja are in bed, Lu practices yoga, and Eboni and Leah are getting glam. Leah McSweeney gets an energetic but exhausting phone call from Ramona who is pestering to get the itinerary for the day. Once she’s off the phone with Ramona, Leah calls Sonja to complain about it without knowing that the two are together.

Eboni and Bershan talk about last night's dinner. Bershan tries to explain that the women are looking for a friend not a preacher. When Eboni claims she’s finally able to start connecting to Ramona without the need to screen Ramona's politics, Bershan asks if she really means that. Ramona and Sonja are still in bed. Sonja tries to talk about last night but Ramona instead switches the conversation to Sonja’s eyebrows not matching. Sonja tells Ramona that she’s likes that they don’t match and that Ramona's eyebrows match too much like a doll's eyebrows. Ramona tells Sonja her eyebrows are starting to make her look like a drag queen like Luann.

The women head out for a history tour at Pioneer Village. They’re greeted by two pilgrims who try to make them wear bonnets and cloaks. Ramona and Lu refuse. Sonja asks if it’s okay if she dresses as an oppressor. Eboni says she can’t put on the colonizer's uniform. Another historical interpreter told Ramona and Lu "Good day, Good wives" and Lu replies, "We have been good wives! Look at you sweeping!" (It has just dawned on me that I don't think a single woman on this show is a wife anymore.) Ramona has Lu take a photo of her in front of the wigwam. Sonja starts unloading her baggage on Bershan. Leah tells Eboni that Ramona and Lu have been enabling Sonja’s spirals for years.

Sonja goes to use Ramona's bathroom and there’s poop on the floor. Sonja laughs uncontrollably. It’s apparently one of Ramona's most endearing qualities to Sonja.

At the restaurant, Lu speaks Italian to the restaurant owner and introduces herself as Luanna. As the ladies go around taking about what they don’t drink any more after having too much of at one time, Bershan announces that they’re a little boring. And like grandmas! Leah, Lu, and Sonja take offense. Lu tells Bershan she knows where the door is. It is revealed that Ramona told her they were fun and apparently oversold when the women didn't deliver. Sonja and Bershan bicker back and forth. Sonja calls Bershan out on trying to make sure the other women are paying attention to their argument. It comes to a head when Bershan calls Sonja a clown and head bobs like she’s made a very good point. The other women rally behind Sonja; Leah tells Bershan she doesn’t know Sonja well enough to judge her; Lu gives a “how dare you” followed by a “who do you think you are?” This prompts Ramona to say she’s my friend. Ramona sticking by Bershan does not go down well with Lu or Sonja. Leah even calls out Ramona's lack of loyalty at the table. The poor waitress comes in mid-fight to ask if it’s a bad time to hear the food specials. It’s always a bad time. In her confessional, Ramona bashes Bershan for her behavior and explains that she defended Bershan only because she brought her on the trip. In an effort to lighten the mood, Ramona dances on a table while the ladies chant "music". Bershan tells Leah that the women all diss her behind her back. When Leah asks, "Who?", Bershan nods her head over to Ramona. It goes unnoticed by Leah. When Bershan wouldn’t outright say who it was, Leah threatens to walk out. Bershan names Ramona. We flash back to their lunch where Ramona says that "sometimes her and Leah butt heads". When Bershan asks if she considers Leah a friend, Ramona answers, "That’s a relationship I’m working on". All of the women (except Sonja who returns) leave with Leah, leaving Bershan and Ramona at the table. Sonja offers to stay with Ramona because now Bershan has turned on Ramona but Ramona still has to stay with Bershan anyway, since Bershan is Ramona's friend of. Bershan tells Sonja to stop the dramatics. This proves too much for Ramona and Ramona leaves with Sonja. Outside of the restaurant, a tipsy Sonja and Ramona team up against Bershan in a classic housewives argument as they yell incoherently over one another and chug wine on the street. Sonja even drinks wine thru her face mask!

Lu and Eboni return to the hotel and note that Ramona did not have Sonja’s back even though Sonja would always have hers. Back on the street, Ramona and Sonja leave Bershan to return to the hotel alone. Bershan tried to say that she had too much to drink but Leah forces Bershan to own up to blowing up the night. Which she blames ultimately on Ramona for gaslighting her and setting her up. Meanwhile Ramonja has drunken antics in the elevator. When Ramonja joins the groups, Eboni and Sonja try to get Bershan to a point where she can successfully mend things with the group. It does not work. In a twist no one saw coming, Leah and Ramona mend things. Bershan v. Sonja continues to escalate. The episode ends with a black screen and a tease of a physical altercation for next week.
