Episode 8 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is here! We first check in on Jen Shah and First Assistant StuChainz working on their (allegedly shady) business. The Barlow's are planning a Fresh Wolf event to raise money for children in foster care.
Mary Cosby, Whitney Rose and Heather Gay go for an Italian lunch. Mary fears that if she eats raw food it will come back to life in her stomach. Mary tells Whitney she didn’t enjoy snow tubing. Whitney tries to shift the narrative that Lisa snapped at Mary first during the ride to snow tubing, but Mary corrects her. Mary explains that when people question her it brings up trauma from her mom being jealous of her taking her grandmother’s place in the church because her mom wanted it for herself.
Jen arrives to the Fresh Wolf photoshoot in a Timberwolf head. Lisa asks Jen about her friendship with Heather and whether or not their friendship is dysfunctional and healthy. Lisa also brings up Jen's designer friend whose name remains redacted. Basically, Jen and this friend fell out when this friend offered to design a dress for Jen and then when the dress wasn't delivered on time (either for failure on the designer's part or for failure of Jen to give details to the designer for the dress to be made to begin with) the designer leaked audio of an irate Jen Shah berating him. In their confessionals, the women share their favorite line from the leaked audio. Lisa brings up that Whitney has gifted this designer products from her skincare line and Lisa sees this as disloyalty to Jen.
Whitney and her brother hold a "Blader's Club" meeting and she asks Will how their dad is doing. Will says they go disc golfing and out to breakfast. Whitney reveals to her brother that she hasn't spoken to their dad in 6 months. Whitney tells her brother that their dad was supposed to be watching her kids while her and Justin went out to eat. Instead, she got a call that he had chased the delivery driver from the house, and Whitney suspects her father was not sober during the incident. Since then, she has cut him out of his life.
Heather and her daughter Ashley meet Meredith and her daughter Chloe for lunch. . Meredith asks Heather about being the good time girl and Heather says she went to Cancun as a companion for a little person going on a booze cruise and entered and won a singing contest on the boat. Meredith invites Heather to a trip to Vail, Colorado.
At the Fresh Wolf event, Lisa explains to Meredith that her sons put the Marks' on the guest list for being supportive of their business venture from the beginning. (Which I feel is a great excuse to explain why Jen is not on the guest list...)
Jen visits Heather and brings her sex themed gifts. They play a ring toss game with penises on their heads. Jen brings up the feud with the designer and that Lisa brought to her attention that Whitney had gifted him product. Heather claimed to have no knowledge of this but defended Whitney and said Whitney doesn't send product freely to anyone so they must have bought it. Heather brings up that Whitney was invited to the Fresh Wolf event and Jen wasn't even told about it. Jen gets very upset when she finds out the event is for foster care, a cause close to her heart.
Back at the Fresh Wolf Event, Meredith and Lisa are approached by Lisa's friend Cameron Williams, who used to belong to Mary's church. Cameron says that Mary and Robert Sr. have done things that are harmful. Cameron urges Meredith to be careful because he used to be very close to Mary. Cameron says that the truth will come out and claims it is Mary's story to tell what the truth is. Meredith is shaken up and in tears after her conversation with Cameron. She tells Lisa that the conversation was bizarre and he was sending cryptic messages. Lisa tells Meredith that Cameron was a preacher in the church and she keeps Mary and him separated at events. Lisa says Cameron has told her things about his time at the church that she won't discuss tonight (aka not on camera with Meredith).
The episode ends and it looks like next week we will finally start getting into the Shah-Law drama as the police look for Jen while they make their way to Vail.
